TRL

In Total Ridiculous Live each celebrity character has a fully developed personality of its own, not just a celebrity impersonation acting within the context of a”skit.” Total Ridiculous Live is its own celebrity World, living its life on and off the set, within the realm of the entertainment and music industry, as parody. TRL is an improvised comedy that makes fun of and exaggerates super star life styles, like shopping at Kitson, eating at the Ivy, or getting your brows done by Anastasia. You know, the obsession our society has with pop culture.

CURRENT TV: Eco Spot
60 seconds to Save the Earth

Experts agree that we have approximately a 30-year supply of oil left in the ground worldwide. Global warming is increasing as well as world consumption of oil. We have to act globally to reduce CO2 emissions, reduce gas consumption, and slow the effects of global warming. Conservation will slow the rate of planetary depletion and deterioration. Consumers must support innovative technology, and one way we can do this is demanding efficient hybrid and alternative vehicles to stop our dependence on fossil fuels.

BENEATH THE WATER

Created for TRIP Dance Theater’s 2004 piece "Breath & Bone",which focused on the experiential conditions of connection and disconnection within ones body. Choreographed by Artistic Director, Monica Favand Campagna with sound design by Charlie Campagna. Beneath the Water was inspired by the plight of whales who’s hearing is interminably impaired by sonar noise due to naval sonar testing.

Whales rely on their powers of echolocation to navigate the oceans. The sonar testing is rendering many whales deaf and permanently disoriented. Combined with the increased ocean noise from container ships, which is the man source of noise in the ocean, blue whales are being struck and killed by the ships. www.nrdc.org

A THIN LINE

A Thin LIne personalizes the way a single event can shatter a world. What
seemed familiar, secure and speakable is relocated to a scene that is strange, uncanny and seemingly unspeakable. The consciousness that "governs" this ruin is paradoxically a struggle to relocalize a world. Dislocation leads to the desire for relocation. In this crisis, what had been promised is now broken, what had been shared is abandoned, what had seemed intimate is left to loneliness.

A Thin LIne surveys what at first appears to be a location both safe and recognizable - a park, a golf course - a veritable celebration of interaction and community. This all too familiar site transforms into a landscape of anxiety and even horror. The line that has been erased between interior and exterior, security and vulnerability, between love and hate, attempts to redraw itself. Not a boundary anymore, but a tightrope, a line in perpetual balance.

25

25 was shot in a defunct mental hospital in Southern California, once a domicile for many Hollywood celebrities such as Frances Farmer, Charlie Parker and Frank Zappa.

The series of events that took place from the moment I entered the space, tested any perception I had regarding the spirit world. I was taken on a mental hospital mystery tour guided by forces that spoke a strange mechanical language that erupted with banging, scratching, and screeching sounds, which were at once turbulent, frenzied, chaotic and violent.. It became clear that a negotiation took place between unknown energies that wanted to be heard and me.

TIMELINE

Timeline’s trajectory is its focus on movement, and the performers process. Shot spontaneously, between a fashion show and an after party, I found that the spectator's indifference propelled the performance artist, Dona Leonard, to go deeper within. The soundscape was mixed to reflect audience detachment, and Leonard's exquisite movement.
