BIO CAROL GEHRING Director and Video Artist Carol Gehring earned her BFA in Photography/Film/Video, 2000, and her MFA in Film/Video, 2003, at the California Institute of the Arts. Before Gehring’s return to school, she had a successful career in the publishing industry in New York with VOGUE magazine, and as a fashion photographer. In Los Angeles she has worked with NBCUniversal as a Photo Editor for International and National Marketing and Distribution for television's hit series: Heroes, all Law & Order's,The Office, Friday Night Lights, etc. Her video and photography production company, It's About Time Production's, specializes with green corporations, colleges, institutions, non-profits, and artists. Gehring works as producer, consultant, videographer, photographer, editor, director, and writer. As a video artist she collaborates in film/video for dance, performance, theater, and music videos including conceptual content development. Twelve years with TRIP Dance Theater, board president (7 years), board member, and video artist for the company. Gehring's video work has been recognized at exhibitions internationally and nationally, and in Los Angeles, at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art: – Art Scene: 25, The L.A. Art Awards – Video Installation in the Contemporary Wing. Upcoming: September 2009, at the Remap 2 Festival, Athens, Greece, and Autumn Lights Festival, Pershing Square, Los Angeles, CA.
